This is one of the greatest monologues of all Shakespeare’s plays from Merchant of Venice by Shylock. Popular culture does not seem to embrace this kind of high art but whatever. I have tremendous respect for Al Pacino before & more so after. His performance is stunningly honesty & convincing…In addition, no other speech can remotely convey this message about our common humanity which this blog is trying to explore.
