Now, witness the first official Obama advertisement. Is there any doubt who will be sworn in January 2009? It’s just an ad, obviously but its solid. Let’s face it. The Internet will be the primary battle ground for the 18-30 year old voting segment. That war of words (probably not ideas) will only get nastier from here.

Thompson was a literary journalist. Gonzo was his way. His political acumen verged on genius. I wish I could emulate his moxie…his talent…his passion for guns? Whatever. He wrote Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72. He also shot himself. Nobodies perfect. Should be an excellent film. The director has some credibility. Probably has a quite leftwing message.

He was a staple of Sunday morning’s US political fare. Another reminder of how precious everyday can be.
