Thompson was a literary journalist. Gonzo was his way. His political acumen verged on genius. I wish I could emulate his moxie…his talent…his passion for guns? Whatever. He wrote Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72. He also shot himself. Nobodies perfect. Should be an excellent film. The director has some credibility. Probably has a quite leftwing message.

He was a staple of Sunday morning’s US political fare. Another reminder of how precious everyday can be.
